Fencing Swords, Blades and Masks

The sport of rapier fencing is gaining popularity in leaps and bounds, and while a number of purpose-designed rapiers are available, the availability of protective equipment has been left largely to the devices of the fencer. Our Rapier Fencing Vest (1501-GT), made specifically for this sport, provides torso protection for rapier fencers using the 1032-GT, 1032B-GT and similar blunt-pointed sporting rapiers. Featuring a fabric shell, heavily padded and quilted in the style of Kendo armour, the vest has a heavy-duty zippered side closure and is designed to permit free arm movement in both single and two-weapon combat. Available in Chest sizes 36, 40, 44 and 48 inches.

Used by fencers worldwide, these sport fencing weapons feature blades of superbly tempered high-carbon steel, forged under the strictest standards of quality control. The handles are molded rubber, available in both right and left-handed models. The guards are aluminum and pommels are plated steel, weighted for exact balance. Spare blades for all three weapons are available. The fencing masks (ACDI09) are USFA legal for competition. Model Description

Fencing in the Renaissance style is rapidly growing in popularity, combining the quickness of light blades with the structure and spirit of the duel. The Fencing Rapier (1032-GT), a standard in the sport, is available with either the Schlaeger blade (1032B-GT) or double-wide Epee (Musketeer) blade (1032-GT) as shown. Either blade will fit the 301-OK sheath (page 28). The Main Gauche (left-hand dagger) (1033-GT) is fitted with the flexible training blade, ideal for the two-weapon fencing mode. The use of a mask is essential in any fencing activity, and we recommend the ACDI09 mask for use with these weapons.
